Questions couples may have about Natural Fertility

For some lucky couples conceiving can happen within a few months but for 1 in 6 couples conception may take longer. Inability to conceive can be related to hormonal imbalances, nutritional deficiencies, PCOS or many other reasons. Fortunately, there are viable, safe and effective natural options to support and boost your fertility whilst also assisting the medical options.

Which female conditions can be treated by natural therapies?

· Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)

· Endometriosis

· Ovulatory disorders

· Fibroids

· Irregular menstrual cycles

· Thyroid imbalance

· Recurrent Pregnancy Loss

Which male conditions can be treated with natural therapies?

· Low sperm count, motility, morphology

· Erectile Dysfunction

What therapies can help with fertility?

Following a comprehensive consultation, I devise a treatment plan which is specifically suited to the needs of the patient. I have had great success with the following treatments in helping couples conceive:-

· Acupuncture

· Nutrition

· Fertility Massage

· Reiki

· Massage and Relaxation Techniques

Can I have combined natural treatments with IVF and IUI treatments?

Yes, any of these treatments can be used successful with couples choosing Assisted Fertility. In particular they can help to balance the hormones, nourish the womb, assist with ovulation and calm the patient before any procedure.

How long will I need treatment?

There are many variables to take in to account when deciding on a treatment programme and each patient is assessed at consultation. As a general rule of thumb (and depending on the longevity of the condition) I advise patients to commit to working with me for at least six months, typically with weekly or fortnightly consultations. During this time I deal with issues such as nutrition, regularising the menstrual cycle, boosting ovulation and introducing relaxation methods to reduce stress levels. I also give my patients a “toolbox” of methods they are advised to use at home such as self-massage, nutritional advice, castor oil packs and advice on relaxation and meditation.
